Period Product Drive
At the Redwood Empire Food Bank, we are committed to addressing not only hunger but also the broader needs of our community, including access to essential hygiene products. Period poverty is a pressing issue affecting millions, including many of our neighbors. It refers to the lack of access to menstrual products and proper sanitation, disproportionately impacting low-income individuals.
This is why we’re excited to partner with Healthy Petaluma District and Foundation and host a Period Product Drive on Thursday, August 22. This drive aims to combat period poverty locally, ensuring that everyone has access to essential menstrual supplies.
2 Ways to Get Involved:
1. Volunteer on August 22: Join us in collecting essential menstrual supplies by signing up for a volunteer shift here.
2. Donate Supplies: You can donate menstrual products at any of these three CVS locations from 10 AM to 4 PM on August 22:
CVS on Commerce in Rohnert Park
CVS on McDowell in Petaluma
CVS on Washington in Petaluma
Alternatively, you can drop off donations at our headquarters located at 3990 Brickway Blvd., Santa Rosa, in the donation barrel in our lobby.
