We’re looking for a dedicated volunteer to step into a Super Volunteer role each Wednesday in our Food Connections Market, supporting either the 7:00–10:00 AM or 10:00 AM–1:00 PM shift.

Opportunity Details

As a Super Volunteer in our Food Connections Market at the Distribution Center, you’ll work closely with our Market Manager, Kim, to help create a positive and efficient environment. You'll guide and support new volunteers, ensuring they feel confident, encouraged, and engaged—while also playing a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by:

• Assisting with volunteer orientation by welcoming new volunteers and providing clear instructions on proper sorting of compost, recycling, and trash.
• Knowledge of warehouse precautions regarding surrounding equipment and walkway egress, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Organizing donated and non-perishable items for distribution to our neighbors in need, including gleaning, sorting, and restocking bread, produce, refrigerated, frozen, and shelf-stable food items.
• Cleaning and consolidating pallets to maximize space, clearing away debris.
